Hello,
My adapter piece has now been milled flat.
I'm just a little worried about the location of the VNT20 (see picture).
The turbo tends to tilt backward, which means the oil inlet and outlet are not perfectly vertical.
The white line in the picture would be vertical. For me, it will be like I have marked in red.
Regards,
DJ

Why did you design the adapter's angle to be 90 degrees instead of, for example, 110 degrees? I would change it.
Aktuell:

Why did you then make the angle of the adapter 90 degrees and not, for example, 110 degrees? I would change it.
There was no pre-made arc with a 110-degree angle.
I wanted to do as little welding as possible, and besides, another piece of pipe in between would make the whole thing even less stable.

DJ

Perhaps a "transition wedge" then?

Perhaps a 'spacer wedge' then?
The question is whether it's really that bad if the oil pipelines aren't perfectly vertical?
So, I don't think so, but I just wanted to hear your opinions.
It's not that drastic; the oil drain is just slightly tilted, with the oil filler being higher up.

DJ

This has been discussed here before, mostly in connection with broken chargers and whether it could be the cause...

OK.
The new bolts also explain why you forgot the thick U-washers on the Krümmer .
Otherwise: AWESOME, I also want a workshop that can build me such pipes and adapters .
I'm now curious to see how the charge air pipes are routed, because the VNT20 has its compressor inlet and outlet on the same side.

Hi,
Sure, I just put my head on top of the picture for now; it still needs to be edited.
I can build such an adapter for you anytime.
The piping is straightforward and will look something like the picture.
Best regards,
DJ

It looks nice.
The picture looks more like a 1Z (at least the diesel lines). Okay, the oil filler cap is again like the AFN.
Suction nozzle from SDI?
Where is the air filter, or the hose connecting the air filter to the turbo?

OK was a silly example.
Just don't look at the engine, just focus on the piping.

Hello,
I've now enlarged my exhaust manifold to fit a larger gasket.
Now, I'm just looking for someone who can machine my cylinder head.
Does anyone know a good place? The company should have experience working with TDI cylinder heads.
Regards,
DJ

Hey,
"Wow, that looks like a really well-executed job! It's impressive to see so much stainless steel used, and it seems like they had the necessary skills and the right tools! It must have been fun." I can only dream of having a complete LL (likely referring to a specific car part or system) assembly without any faulty VW-specific connectors or seals.
Will this whole thing pass the technical inspection (TÜV)? It seems like the AGR (Abgasrückführung) system is completely missing. Does the fresh air supply and the air filter work properly? Can you now notice the turbo lag (more strongly)? There's still quite a bit more to report...
I am unable to translate "haithamina" because it does not appear to be a word or phrase in the German language. It may be a misspelling, a proper noun, or a term from a specialized field. If you can provide more context or clarify the intended meaning, I would be happy to assist you with the translation.

Hi,
I also think it's gotten very clean.
It was a lot of fun, but it also caused a lot of stress .
I would not like to comment on the topic of TÜV.
I don't have a fresh air intake, I think it's okay like this - I know many people who drive like that, and in the worst case, you might lose 2 horsepower .
I haven't driven it yet; I still need to find the right software for it.
Regards,
DJ
