Hello, I watched a report on WDR about a Swiss oil and lubricant manufacturer that produces lubricants from plant oils.
These oils are supposed to be significantly better and more durable than lubricants made from fossil fuels.
These plant-based oils have likely been used in the aerospace industry for some time.
It is claimed that using these plant-based oils can reduce fuel consumption by up to 0.5 liters per 100 kilometers.
Furthermore, they offer an additive that allows you to run your engine on plant-based oil without modifying it.

Well, on TV, they also claimed that using a larger pulley reduced fuel consumption in the Lima engine by 1 liter per 100 km, but you practically can't even tell if the belt drive is actually running.
I also think that 0.5 liters is a bit of wishful thinking. I notice a difference in consumption of less than 0.2 liters per 100 kilometers between 5w30 and 10w60. If this "super oil" uses 0.5 liters, it would have to be very similar in viscosity to water, and for me, a thicker oil lubricates better.
Then it says "100,000 km without oil change." The problem is the dilution of the oil by hydrocarbons and contamination from particles, etc. That's all there is to say about longer maintenance intervals.
