Hello Rainer,
Do you also offer services for Opel Astra 1.7 CDTI models?
According to the owner, it consumes about 6.2 to 6.6 liters per 100 kilometers, and when they contacted Opel, they were told that this is within the normal range.
It's also not possible to install any newer versions of the software.
The customer found that the car was approximately one liter cheaper per 100 kilometers compared to the Golf. Gruß, der Teileklaus

Hi,
Sorry, no. Opel tools are not worth the investment at this time due to a lack of demand.
Best regards, Rainer.

Just to clarify, you can rule out the following basic issues: filters, sealing, valve timing, and injectors...?

Depending on the driving style of the Astra driver and the typical routes and speeds used, I would say that the fuel consumption figures are not at the very lowest end of what's possible, but they are still within a reasonable range. The 1.7 CDTI engine performs well and is quite enjoyable to drive.
The fuel consumption monitor shows [here] values for Astra G and H models ranging from approximately 5.4 to 9.4 liters per 100 kilometers.

a bit premature...
Which of the at least four versions are you referring to?
The first one I had in the Astra G (80 hp) was slow.
I'm not familiar with the 100, 110, and 125 horsepower versions in the Astra H.
Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation. Transparency, Teamwork
... there was another T.
I don't know what the f*ck it was.

Yes, the 80 horsepower engines were basically air pumps! But they weren't CDTI engines, though, were they? The much more common 100 horsepower engines in the Astra-G, on the other hand, are a completely different story. With the H model, I notice the noticeably higher weight, which creates a feeling of heavier handling.

Hi,
I once drove an Opel/Vauxhall Astra G.
Once with 82 horsepower, once with 100, and also the 1.7 CDTI engine.
Conclusion:
None of the third ones were really good, at least subjectively.
And none of them were particularly frugal.
The DI engine always required 7 liters, while the DTI engine easily consumed 7.5 to 8 liters.
Only the CDTI engine was a bit stingy with its fuel consumption, ranging from 6.3 to 6.7 [units - presumably liters per 100km or miles per gallon].
"Nevertheless, I drive my brother-in-law's driving school Golf 5 with a 105 hp TDI engine, and even with the same driving style, I can easily achieve a fuel consumption of around 5.5 liters per 100 kilometers."
My opinion:
Besides the diesel engines purchased from BMW, Opel did not offer any reasonable diesel options until its cooperation with GM.

Hello, thank you for the surprisingly good participation from Opel owners - I wouldn't have expected that here.

Since I haven't heard any complaints about the performance or anything else, I also assume it's being used normally.
As far as I know, it's a 1.7 CDTi with 100 horsepower, an Astra G sedan, and it has tires size 205.
So, I only see potential for savings in terms of tire selection and driving style (specifically, how much you accelerate).
Thank you to all who contributed their thoughts. Gruß, der Teileklaus
