I've had the same experience with the gt1749VA in my AFN!
The slight 'weakness' in the lower RPM range was resolved by replacing the mass airflow sensor (MAF).
How many miles has your car driven?
What is your exact oil temperature right now?
Is the turbo new or used?
Can you hear me now at all, or just very faintly?
Does your AFN buffer overflow?

Regards,

Dennis.

'5.1 seconds, but subjectively, there's no noticeable difference other than that the high-end performance is slightly better. I'm just wondering if my value is okay; according to DRZ, it only results in about ~140 horsepower icon_rolleyes.gif, and I want to run at 1.45 bar in the future.'

@Dennis:

'No, it doesn't produce any black smoke. The oil temperature is around 88-90°C when driving normally, which is about 4°C higher than before. The turbocharger is almost new! The mass airflow sensor has 175,000 km (approximately 109,000 miles) but the readings are actually fine. You can't hear the turbo at all when idling, only a slight sound at higher RPMs and under full load.'

@Dr_braun:

I replaced my mass airflow sensor at 110,000 km.
The values were even better than expected, but after the change, the turbo kicks in noticeably sooner at lower RPMs!
'My oil temperature is at 20°C (ambient temperature), while the engine temperature is between 94-96°C during normal driving. I'm surprised that yours is so low.'
Did you seal the EGR valve with a metal plate?
