No mystery here; it's a clear case of dirt getting into the fuel lines during the installation or removal of the cylinder head.
As far as that ironic quote is concerned, there's nothing to , because a sudden failure of the PDE internals and/or sporadic hardening of certain seals in this context lacks any logic .

Ja das ist schon richtig, obwohl ich mir selbst das nicht erklären kann da wir beim ersten mal als der Kopf runter war die Düsen gar nicht ausgebaut hatten. Und die PDEs hatten wir ja danach auch mehrmals draußen, untern anderem zum Ultraschallreinigen. Da haben wir ja auch die Kanäle sauber geblasen. Mein Kumpel ist jetzt auch nicht jemand der auf der Brennsuppe dahergeschwommen kommt, der hat das ja schon zig mal gemacht. Für den war das eher ein "Routineeingriff". AOkay, everyone makes mistakes sometimes...

Whatever it was, I'm glad it's running again. Unfortunately, I can't add anything to the diagnosis from the Bosch service; that's what they told me. In any case, the injectors must have had a minor issue beforehand. I never complained about performance or anything like that, but as I said, it runs better and smoother than ever before.
