Hello everyone,
And so, I continue to flood this thread with my posts.
How do you like the level sensor at the bottom of the pictures?
http://members.aol.com/wernersmail/werners-2cv6/Tipps___Tricks/tipps___tricks.html It's self-built based on Dieter's idea and suggestions from the website, using a brass tube from the hardware store (1 Euro and a bit), a PT100 sensor from Conrad (5 Euros and a bit), two silicone measurement hoses (1 Euro each), and a little bit of silicone for insulation. Since I already had this strange probe device from Conrad, I took it apart and reused some of its components (see pictures).
The internal workings weren't straightforward because a 4 mm tube is quite narrow, so the initial idea of isolating the sensor and solder joints with silicone and then inserting everything didn't work. Instead, I inserted it without any insulation, then pushed some silicone in behind it with pressure, and then soldered it in place. I wasn't sure if it would actually work, but it held up during the soldering process and all the tests (boiling water, etc.).
The response time is excellent - when I hold the cold rod in boiling water, I see the corresponding reading after just 10 seconds.
As I said, I can provide more detailed information if needed.
Later, I'll use a file to create the markings, and then everything will be correct.
Best regards,
Jan.
