Hi,

I drive an Audi A4 1.9 TDI Quattro.
AFN 81 kW -> Chip tuning 97 kW (by TCM-Fahrzeugtechnik).
The catalytic converter failed with 33,000 km on the odometer.
The chip was installed with 50,000 kilometers on the odometer.
Currently, the mileage is 64,000 km. (Still the original mass airflow sensor icon_lol.gif).

The average fuel consumption under normal driving conditions is 6.7 liters per 100 kilometers.

Martl.

Hello,

I agree with Edgar. The SB engine is fantastic.

Golf2 GTD with standard liquid cooling (80 hp).
Total mileage: 460,000 km, of which 220,000 km were driven by me. Still has the original head gasket. Consumes 1-1.5 liters of oil every 7,500 km.
"For 55,000 km with 1.2 bar of boost pressure, 215 Nm of torque, 110 DIN horsepower, and running on vegetable oil instead of diesel."
Transmission damage, soon to be followed by a hit from an AFN Toledo.

Best regards, Uli (who uses the "Wirbelkammer" system whenever possible because it's simple to operate).

HELLO,

UP TO 180,000 KM WITHOUT CHIP TUNING, 115 HP / 265 NM.

PART 159 AND A NEEDLE SENSOR (SUSPECTED FAULT) ~€200.
BEI 161 AND A NEW FUEL PUMP (THAT WAS THE REAL PROBLEM). DEFECTIVE - Approximately €1200.
EVERYTHING IS GUARANTEED (USED ITEM GUARANTEE).
BE GOOD 1000 KM WITH CHIP: 147 HP/325 NM.

IT'S A STONE AGE DIESEL ENGINE, ALMOST INDESTRUCTIBLE (BUT IT SHOULD STAY ON THE CARPET).

GREETINGS, FRITZ.

When I read this thread with all the responses, I can't help but wonder if there are any TDIs that haven't been tuned.

Golf 4, manufactured in 1998, AHF engine, 110 horsepower.
106,000 km since approximately 85,000 km.
'With a ******** chip, producing approximately 145 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, plus a longer 5th gear.' Gang.

From 160 km/h onwards, this is the 'PD Killer' (=).

Yes, I do - I have a non-running Audi 80 B4 Avant with a 1Z engine and the weak 182 Nm of torque... The engine is still running with its original components, having reached approximately 362,000 km. Unfortunately, the ESP is now leaking, thanks to biodiesel. icon_rolleyes.gif

How long have you been using biodiesel? I'm always worried that the ESP system might leak, but so far, thankfully, it's held up (I've been using biodiesel since kilometer 54,000).
Allegedly, pump damage is not more frequent with biodiesel than with conventional diesel (according to the oil mill), but if it does happen with biodiesel, then it was obviously due to the fuel itself. But they're definitely telling a lot...

I would say approximately 100,000 km driven with 75% pure biodiesel, and the rest was a mix or just diesel.
Switching from diesel to biodiesel can cause the seals to deteriorate. Regularly alternating between diesel and biodiesel (e.g., in winter) can exacerbate this issue due to the different properties of the fuels. Therefore, it's advisable to eventually switch to more resistant materials. Seals are available at dieselsend.de, unfortunately, no one has responded to my inquiry yet icon_sad.gif.
In my case, the faulty ESP manifested as a damp timing belt and a slightly sticky ESP wheel. Possibly, you might also see wet marks along the bottom edge of the large timing belt cover.

A3 AGR, 90 horsepower, manufactured in March 1997.

Tuned to 125 horsepower by ********, originally with 82,000 kilometers.
Okay, I'll add 163,000 to it without any problems.
I want to drive it until it falls apart icon_wink.gif.

Volkswagen Golf 3 Variant TDI, ALE, 66kW, Model 1999.

At approximately 150,000 km, the EGR system was deactivated. A DTE chip tuning box was installed, increasing the power to approximately 110 hp and the torque to approximately 250 Nm.
Mileage today: 171,000 km. No defects so far!

Post11-01-2004, 21:36    Subject: Engine tuning survey: Mileage -> Performance Quote

Hello,

I just experienced an engine failure at 162,540 kilometers.
My car: Golf GTI TDI.
Engine: AJM, Pump-Nozzle injection.
Power: 115 hp / 285 Nm. After tuning: 148 hp / 347 Nm.
The vehicle was tuned with a chip at approximately 60,000 kilometers.

Engine damage: Hole in the piston, likely caused after it cracked.
The crack started at the bolt hole and extends to the first groove and about halfway into the combustion chamber.

Looking for a used AJM engine!

Please help me.
