I think I should probably not remove the increase, because the vibration dampener is not the original one anymore, but a Febi one, and it has 4 matching holes. Only one of these holes is slightly larger than the others, and that's where I mounted it.
I will try to rotate the swing-type tool by 180 degrees today. If the vibration dampener has increased the impact, it is possible that it will compensate for this if it is moved.
What I can imagine is that the Volkswagen Group will one day release a component that can compensate for KW (Koni) strut ends that have been incorrectly installed, just like the bearing shells found in the Unimog and similar vehicles.
If the production volumes of these items are high, then that would definitely make sense.

Regarding the quantities that these things are likely produced in, that would certainly pay off.
Why should they do that? They prefer to sell new engines or new cars.
