So, I'll have the control unit checked after all.
There might be two sources of error now: the control unit and, possibly, the turbocharger, since there was no whistling sound before it was replaced.
Certainly! Here's the translation:
'The impeller blades are visually undamaged and rotating in sync, as you can see in the photo. The black spot is a paint mark from the manufacturer. It looks like a crack, but it isn't. This picture was taken approximately 350 km after the turbocharger installation. I have now driven about 1500 km since the turbocharger was installed.'
Why does it look like the shovels have been sandblasted?

Based on the images, the "leading edges" of the compressor blades look like they do on my TL after a mileage of almost 420,000 km. They're not new, but rather something worth observing.

I will first contact a lawyer and have the turbocharger inspected by a reputable company. Before that, I will personally visit EXBĂRT*-CAR.
But what are good companies to work for? I'm sorry, but I can't find anything using the search function in this forum.
I have been waiting for a few days now without any confirmation regarding what exactly was checked during the inspection at the repair shop. (According to the phone call, everything was supposedly fine and there were no defects). If the company is not willing to provide me with a new turbocharger and all related parts, showing complete goodwill, I hope this post remains visible in the forum!
I need to sign a consent form stating that I am responsible for all costs if it turns out that mistakes were made during the installation. However, I'm very unsure about which course of action to take. Therefore, I will consult with a legal expert! It's easy to make accusations of faulty installation.
But I don't really appreciate being called a "frugal expert." As a layman, one simply doesn't have much knowledge about turbochargers! I wouldn't even want to tinker with them myself, as they are still something I respect and where you could easily make a serious mistake.
Having had good experiences with this company in the past, I was optimistic and once again placed my trust in them. However, I would have been willing to pay more! These are lessons learned that one doesn't easily forget in certain situations...
However, the last two loader repairs also revealed visibly damaged bucket wheels. The ones currently on my loader were in very good condition. Perhaps they reused them? Replacing them would surely be part of a "complete overhaul," right? Because the price for the previous loader repair was also the same...
So far, it's been a good experience! Thanks to you and many others, I've gotten to know the car very well relatively quickly.
So, thank you again for all your answers!
As I said: I will get back to you!
I would still really appreciate any tips you might have!
EDIT: I'm not usually the type of person who buys "cheap" products! It's only when you can't trust a company...

It probably depends on how the loader was sold â as refurbished? repaired? âŠ? We don't know the details of the order.
In the case of "reconditioned" items, photos of the compressor blades and an expert opinion regarding the "used" condition are helpful. Then, a letter offering a friendly option to return the item and dissolve the purchase agreement is sent.
Most likely, you'll end up paying the price for your mistakes. When it comes to non-obvious errors, complaints often go unanswered. It's best not to throw good money after bad.

Hi Martini!
As I'm sure you've heard (probably about 138 times now): Please replace the turbo with a NEW part as soon as possible!!
It's completely pointless to keep bringing the spoiled pig back to the same butcher and have him â after a thorough examination, of course â repeatedly confirm its excellent and flawless quality...
Logo, or what?
The next question that arises in this context is: Why doesn't a single ATL manufacturer offer the revision of standard chargers or the replacement of parts themselves?
...and that would have been easily found using the search function (on the forums).
I don't know this company you mentioned, but here's a tip: Search for the company's name on Google and add the word "experiences" and SEE what comes up .

"HerBĂ€rt means that, no matter how much legal certainty you might have, it will only get you very hesitantly â if at all â to your goal."
And for the additional costs, you could then buy two genuine turbos, not to mention the frustration and stress, as well as the constant removal and installation.
That's why my advice is to always revisit and thoroughly examine the topic from various angles, including legal aspects, whenever you encounter it on different pages.
Please buy a NEW turbo, install it, and THEN (!!!) figure out how to at least get your money back.
Best regards from Munich!

That's exactly what I had planned to do. What's the point of having the car sit there for months?
We live in Germany, and here, no one can survive by cheating in the long run.
I've already searched the company online and I know what you mean!

Channel the (understandable ) frustration into where it belongs, or redirect that energy into something more productive .
Please let us know when a new and also GENUINE (!!!) turbocharger is installed.
Please do not purchase anything from this listing - IMPORTANT!!!

A well-respected company in this field is, for example, SchlĂŒter Turbochargers. You can read more about why they share this view here:
http://www.turbolader.com/03FAQ/VNT%20nur%20Neu.htm
"It is remarkable that this sentence:"
"Anyone who offers these turbochargers as reconditioned today is either knowingly or unknowingly acting incorrectly and is not offering their customer a product that the manufacturer would consider of sufficient quality, let alone good."
And right there in the headline, it's clearly stated: "VTG Loader - not repairable."
There's nothing more to say about that.
Here's a small example of what such a "maintained" loader might look like:

I have one more quick question before I place the order for the new loader.
Due to the excessively high boost pressure, it's possible that there's an issue with the fuel injection system, perhaps injecting too much fuel? I mean, "more fuel equals more exhaust, which causes the turbocharger to spin faster."
Sometimes, especially when the engine is still cold and you accelerate hard, the car starts to sputter or misfire. But doesn't "misfiring" usually happen because of too much air being fed into the combustion chamber? Caddy 3 mit BLS Motor, 105PS, DPF (0603/AGB)

With a functioning charger, the EDC will be able to counteract this and successfully manage the situation.
If the loader (the VTG) gets stuck, then it simply won't work.

No. By its very nature, a diesel engine ALWAYS operates with an "excessive amount of air."
Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation. Transparency, Teamwork
... there was another T.
I don't know what the f*ck it was.
