...can anyone tell me where I can find it? And what kind of VAG-COM (which version or higher?) would I need for that?

Sure, here's the translation:

"Thank you."

Hi,

You probably already have the A4 type 8EC/8ED. In that case, you need a system with CAN bus support.

16-pin diagnostic connector: Unfortunately, I don't know the exact location offhand, but it's generally located somewhere near the steering wheel, below the driver's side hood release lever, or in the center console (ashtray area). Usually, there's a cover plate (approximately 6x2cm) over it for aesthetic reasons.

Best regards, Rainer.

The left driver's footwell, near the hood release lever, exactly as described above, is correct 100%.

A CAN interface is not necessarily required; it ultimately depends on the engine type and equipment. However, it's difficult to say for sure beforehand, as we don't have the exact specifications. Here's a small list that might be helpful.

At least VAG-COM 504.1 is required, but for this model, the latest beta version 506.0 is recommended!
