Hi there!
I also have an EX ALH engine in my Golf.
Just take a look at my page.

The renovation was carefully planned by a certain Dipl.-Ing. *****.
Hello, I had previously inquired about the structural differences between the ALH and AFN engines and received the following response, among other things.
Question: Who can help me adjust the fuel injection maps?
Are the (spare part) nozzles for the AFN engine more expensive than those for the ALH engine?
Is it possible to adjust things like boost pressure without installing a different chip in the engine control unit, or will I have to expect costs similar to those associated with chipping?
What would the TÜV (German technical inspection authority) say about the larger injectors installed in my ALH engine (since they are all original VW parts and not aftermarket tuning devices)?
Are the durability of the ALH and the 110hp VE TDIs actually very different? After all, the 110hp engine has 20 more horsepower with almost identical engine construction.
And finally:
Has anyone ever checked the spray pattern of their injectors? If so, where and how much does it cost to have that done?
Thank you for the answers.
PS: I've already searched a lot, but these uncertainties still remain

.
'No higher boost pressure, just a higher fuel injection volume, and the injection timing remains the same.'
Install the injectors, and you'll have 110 horsepower. If you then adjust the fuel injection maps and the boost limit, you can reach 130 horsepower. Whether that's a good idea is another matter. Probably not. If you find someone who can program a clean-running 115 horsepower with the larger injectors... that's a great car. 'He who seeks shall find.'
