Hello!
I've been reading here for a long time, and now I have a problem that I'd like to discuss.
Es geht um einen 2003er Audi A6 mit Pumpe Düse Motor AVF(96kw 1,9l) ist ziemlich neu 34tkm! He has long-life [oil/battery/etc.]!
He had the service done at 20,000 km, and now the service indicator is already flashing.
I immediately checked it using the professional CAN USB diagnostic system I bought, specifically on channel 17.
But it all fits: mileage 13,900 km.
abgel. Day 446.
Days: Maximum 730.
km, maximum 50,000.
min. 15,000 km
Oil quality: Grade 4.
It's also strange that the service booklet specifies a maximum of 30,000 km for this engine, contrary to the 50,000 km stated elsewhere.
Why is the light turning on?
Thank you in advance!
Spanky.

Why is the light turning on?
Most likely, the system calculated the exchange rate at that moment based on the collected data.
I also drive a 1.9 TDI with 96 kW and I'm also not getting more than about 12,000-13,000 kilometers per tank.
Since I need more than a year to complete this journey, I don't want to switch to a fixed schedule.
Best regards, D.

How is that possible? If the minimum interval is 15,000 km?
Or will you reach 15,000 kilometers before the 24-month period?

Hello,
It's interesting to note that some people have a real problem understanding their instruction manual.
It actually states that a long-life service interval (depending on operating conditions) lasts for at least 15,000 km or 12 months. With 446 days, the latter is likely the determining factor.
The vehicle can be driven for a maximum of 50,000 km (for the diesel engine, 30,000 km for the gasoline engine), or for 2 years. Any combination of mileage and time within those limits is possible.
Okay, with just over a year of use and under 15,000 kilometers, you're right in that range, and everything is correct.

Yes, with a high proportion of short trips or heavy use, the maximum values are far from being reached. The minimum maintenance interval is 15,000 km or 1 year. | Gruß Bertil

Thank you, Bertil, for answering the question I asked.
By the way, I'm reading this correctly, but it certainly wasn't addressed to me .
By the way: Why do you only have a small number of points in your Karma score?
Best regards, D. - who always appreciates your answers very much.

Thank you very much!
Of course, I can already read, but it's difficult because it's a customer's car and there's no owner's manual available.
I was just surprised to see that even the limit for long-life products is only 1 year.

Ask Rainer... he's the only one who can distribute PS points to us... But I'm not complaining.
