VAG-COM Alternative: Diagnostic Tools & Software

Hello,
Since I'm experiencing various login problems with VAG-Com and it seems there's no solution, I'd like to know if there are any other diagnostic programs available.
I once read about a program from Bosch, but I haven't been able to find it for download anywhere.
Please let me know which programs can be used to adjust the control unit, and where I can obtain these programs. Ideally, it should be as inexpensive as possible - I have already paid a lot of money for a licensed full version of VAG-COM.

I also want to build one of these, and I think I've discovered some potential pitfalls in the schematic.
I will therefore design my adapter differently in detail. If it works, you can get my modifications if you're interested - maybe it will also make VAGCOM stable for you.

I finally got the adapter working after the second attempt.
Okay, so I wanted to know what other software options are available besides VAG-COM.
Approximately 2 years ago, I was able to find other programs, such as DOS programs. Today, you can only find VAG-COM.
Unfortunately, I can't afford a VAG-COM.

It definitely won't be the diagnostic cable, as I bought it completely with the VAG-COM software from DRV!
I would like to try using the VAG diagnostic software, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

He's asking 850 euros for the DOS program and 1000 euros for VAG-COM.

At DRV, it costs 300 EUR.

That's true, but I thought the main point was to figure out which software is running. And a DOS demo would be suitable for that.
In addition, he has a German demo version of VAG-COM!
