In this type of tensioner (internal tensioner), the tensioner is pre-tensioned using the fixing pin. This makes it easier to install the belt, as it is positioned eccentrically and is therefore furthest away from the belt in this position.
It's already late. I don't think it's mentioned in the instructions, unless I've missed something
