Hi there,

and one more question about the measurement icon_wink.gif.

Since I initially don't have a free 'port' in the flange for another temperature sensor, I want to first measure the coolant temperature using a sensor attached to the coolant hose near the flange where the original sensors are located. It's a relatively slow system. However, even with insulation, the surface of the hose is unlikely to heat up significantly to reflect the actual coolant temperature.

Does anyone have a quantitative estimate of the expected measurement error?

Thank you, zaydo.

Hello,

I have installed a bimetallic temperature switch with insulation on the inlet of the heating cooler for my auxiliary heater.

The temperature switch turns off at 57°C (measured in a water bath using a digital thermometer).

The valve is installed separately with an insulation sleeve (made of foam commonly used in heating systems, approximately 1 cm thick) and activates at a coolant temperature of 68°C (measured using VAG-COM).

Perhaps this will help you.

Greetings.
Peter.

Hi Peter,

Maybe this will help you.

Yes, definitely.
However, the result is somewhat disappointing. I had expected/hoped it would be lower.

Thank you very much, zaydo.
