I have a Volkswagen Golf III TD with a 1.9L engine, engine code AAZ.
Which engine oil would you use here? And which SAE class? 10W/40? 15W/40?

And another question: Where can I get the diagnostic connector that plugs into the car, sir? Just the connector itself, not the complete connector with the cable, etc.? Because I plan to build my own diagnostic connector.

And another question: Is it possible to clear the error code using the VAG-COM software (either the demo version or the full version), as described in the product description (diagnostic adapter for VW/Audi/Seat, etc.)?

Subject: Engine Oil: So, in my Golf back then (which also had an AAZ engine), I only used 10W40. I believe that 15W40 is not allowed according to VW. You need the VW specification 50500.

In the classifieds section of this website, someone once offered something similar, and you can also find them on eBay from time to time. However, they always cost quite a bit. There was also a thread in the forum where members shared ways to help each other (e.g., building one from scratch).

And of course, you can clear your error memory using VAG-COM!
