old MFA / BC to replace with new?

Hello,

I have been happily registered in this forum for over a year icon_lol.gif and the search function has so far solved all of my (and many others') problems with my Golf 3 TDI (1Z).icon_twisted.gif

Since the search doesn't write anything, so a big thank you to all the competent people who ask questions and, above all, those who answer them!!!

The flow never ends:

I have now (after reaching a mileage of 421,386 km) switched to a Golf IV TDI Highline (manufactured in 1998, AHF).

Unfortunately, the new companion 'only' has the small MFA / BC in the tachometer.

I would now like to install a large BC between the speedometer and the DZM.

Has anyone already had experience with this and knows what to keep in mind?
Because simply rearranging things is likely to fail.

Hallo,

mE ist es ganz einfach. Hab von keiner MFA auf grosse MFA umgestellt. Wichtig ist das du das richtige Kombi hast, die Teilenummer gibt dir genauen Aufschluss weil in ihr alle Informationen enthalten sind. Die Wegfahrsperre muss angelernt werden, ist aber kein Problem da WFS2 - kannst du mit VAG-COM machen. Die Kommunikation vom Radio/NAVI läuft noch nicht über CAN sondern über den 3-Leiter Bus. Das fertige Kabel gibts überall zu kaufen. Dann wichtig - das Kombi richtig codieren. Aber Infos dazu gibt es ja genug im Net.

Vorsicht ist angesagt wenn du das Lenkrad ausbaust - der Wickelfeder nicht zu Nahe kommen!!
