Hi,
I have a Seat Toledo 1.9 TDI manufactured in December 1996, with engine code 1Z.
A new clutch was installed. To do this, the car had to sit for two days without a battery.
After the installation, I started the engine, and then the problem occurred:
He's not going out anymore!
Error code read: 01117. Load signal for generator terminal DF27-00.
27-00: Implausible signal.
I would appreciate any help you can offer.
The situation is really awful right now.
Best regards,
sweater

The solenoid on the fuel injection pump is likely receiving a constant +12V (possibly due to tampering with the wiring harness or connectors) or it's stuck.
Best regards, Rainer.

Sure.
To access the transmission, we had to remove the starter motor, which had 3 connectors attached to it.
We then reconnected them.

Could it possibly be a problem with the ignition switch?
If the cables were exposed without insulation, wouldn't that cause a short circuit and trip the fuse or breaker?

Hi there,
- The "DF error" is irrelevant; I've seen it pop up from time to time as well.
- The setting of the stop lever is actually irrelevant because the quantity control mechanism goes to zero when it's turned off (and there's nothing lower than zero).
"Exposed wires at the lock are better than a matching key."

You're right. I was working on the wrong engine; it didn't have an electronic control unit (ECU).
Best regards, Rainer.

That's all well and good, but the biggest problem is that I can't get the car out.
Even if I remove the key.
How likely is it that the ignition switch will suddenly break down without any apparent reason?
Or is it more likely that a cable is faulty?
Best regards.

Okay, here's the translation:
"Do this:"
Cart on.
Key out.
(she is still running)
Suppress.
(should no longer run
To give it a push so that it could start.
If it starts now, you're going to find a way around the lock, making it unnecessary.
If not, whose fault is it?
If you turn the key to the "off" position, does the power supply to the mass flow meter (MFM) immediately shut off?
"It should turn off immediately if you still have a running MSA12 without a control unit. Otherwise, it will turn off about 5 seconds later."
12/96 with 1Z??? But wasn't it replaced by an AHU in 7/96?
Is your motor control unit (housing) made of plastic or metal?
What happens to the light (X-relay) when you turn it off using the key?

Hi,
I just tried rolling the car downhill with the ignition off, put it in second gear, and then we'll see what happens. It briefly started once, but that was it. It didn't start properly.
When I turn on the headlights and remove the ignition key, the light in the headlight goes out. The same thing happens with the interior ventilation: when I remove the key, the ventilation turns off.
But the engine won't turn off.
Now I'm also having problems with the ABS light; it comes on while driving, and the brakes sometimes jerk like they're on ice.
I'm about to lose hope...
Thank you for any help you can provide.
Best regards,
sweater
(By "1Z", I meant the engine code.)

Hi,

Yes, he did... However, the WFS didn't respond, and the MSTG has turned it off again .
Please pull relay 109 if the engine won't stall.
Rudi.

"You're right, we removed relay 109 yesterday, and then the vehicle stopped working."
What's wrong with the relay...? Could it be defective?

The MSTG unit is self-sufficient in terms of its supply needs for the 109 vehicle.
It's true that it tends to break easily ( search); but I think - I believe - that's not your problem.
I suspect that the ignition power supply (pin 38 MSTG) is always active.
If you unplug the connector on the MSTG (after disconnecting the hose) and with the device turned off, ...
If you're getting 12V on pin 38 when the ignition is turned on, all you need to do now is find where that 12V is coming from.
(Ignition switch?)
Best regards,
Rudi

Thank you for the drawing.
Unfortunately, it's not clear from this where PIN 38 is located. Could you perhaps provide another diagram? Also, could it be a damaged cable that was broken during the starter removal and installation process? The cable harness runs in that area.
Do you happen to know where I can find a wiring diagram for the cable harnesses?
And thank you again for your help.

Thank you for the drawing.
Aus dieser ist leider nicht ersichtlich wo der PIN 38 ist...
But it is }.
Sure, it's possible that you damaged the wiring harness while installing the ignition coil, and as a result...
12V can appear in places where they shouldn't necessarily be.
Best regards,
Rudi

I'll try a slightly different approach; maybe it will be clearer .
