Hello everyone,
My diesel bike project is what brings me here.
Some of you may be familiar with the "Dieselfighter" product from Karl (www.dieselfighter.de).
I'm currently working on a similar project as well.
The base is a ZZR 1100 C and a 1.4 TDI (AMF) engine from an Arosa.
You can find more diesel bikes at
www.dieselkrad.info.
Okay, so now it should be explained why I'm asking and that I don't want to do anything illegal

).
I would ideally like to disable this feature or simply trick the system into thinking that the correct key is being used (of course, programmed into the system itself), but I doubt that will work, or could it?
Now, let's get to the main point.
I need more detailed information about how the immobilizer system works in this engine (AMF), or which immobilizer system is installed. I have a general understanding of how the components work.
Are there perhaps any book recommendations, link recommendations, or expert articles in the forum that I might have missed?
Do the engine control units (ECUs) from the Lupo, Polo, A2, and similar models also work with the Arosa engine? After all, it's essentially the same engine.
I've already searched online, and I also spoke to a helpful person, but they said that the WFS control unit is integrated into the speedometer unit and is not a separate component.
It should be obvious that I shouldn't be attaching a car's speedometer to my motorcycle.
What's it really like?
My idea was to have a separate black box that I could simply connect to the message interface and the reading coil. I would then attach a transponder next to the reading coil and configure it.
I hope for your support with this project, as electronic problems are likely to become more common (e.g., transmission control unit or something similar).
Best regards, Ronny.
