ESP Problem Golf 4 ARL 4Motion

I'm having a problem with the ESP system in my Golf 4 TDI 4Motion, engine code ARL, manufactured in January 2002.

"When I enter a left-hand curve with a slightly more sporty driving style (definitely not pushing the limits!), the ESP immediately starts to intervene and brake the vehicle. I don't have this problem in right-hand curves; the ESP only kicks in when the vehicle starts to lose traction."

I suspected it might be the steering angle sensor that was misaligned, but after checking it with VAG Com, I found that it was actually centered.

I also don't have any errors in the ESP system or anything similar.

Could it be that the ESP system is misconfigured? If so, can this be readjusted yourself using VAG-Com?
