Because the software allows for it in some datasets, the starting quantities for the individual codings can actually appear different.
As a result, for example, an engine that has been reconfigured for automatic transmission in a manual transmission vehicle can completely eliminate the usual cold-start problems.
A chip tuner could, for example, copy the "start quantity" parameter from the automatic transmission coding to the manual transmission coding. This would result in a good warm start without the problems associated with incorrect coding, such as permanent error messages or suboptimal engine behavior.
