Reset Engine Control Unit (ECU) After DIY?

Hello everyone,
I made changes to the adaptation of channel 1 (MSG) using VAG-Com.
I adjusted the "ori" value, sometimes increasing it and sometimes decreasing it... unfortunately, I didn't [note what I did].
I was concerned that my tuning box might affect the value.
Now, even after resetting to the "default" setting (with the device connected), I am still not getting full performance.

Is it enough to just disconnect the device and then re-enter and save the values, or is there a way to reset the MSG (with the device disconnected) to the factory settings?
Okay, it's a 2002 Octavia with an ASV engine (81 kW TDI).

A faulty sensor might only distort sensor readings; it doesn't interfere with the control unit's regulation process.
Therefore, any changes you make with VAG-Com are initially independent of the auxiliary module (since only target values are being modified).

If your car has no power after resetting it to the original values and then connecting it to the module, it's likely the problem is with the module itself, or you may not have actually saved the original values.

Yes, I had entered the default value (32768) again... however, it may not have been saved.

Okay, so I disconnected the device, entered the value 32768 into all the modified channels again, saved everything, and took it for a test drive. It's working again, then I reconnected the device and everything is okay.

I do have one more question: If I save the value "000" for adaptation channel "0", shouldn't all the other channels be reset to their factory settings?

Radio Eriwan... In principle, yes - all adaptation channels (that learn the control unit themselves).
Since your TDI doesn't have those adaptation channels, nothing will happen.
