Hello,
I used VAG-COM to read the error codes from my Passat, manufactured in 2002, and the following errors were found:
00603 - Actuator motor for footwell/defrost flap (V85)
35-10 - - - Interrupted.
01271 - Temperature flap control motor (V68)
35-10 - - - Interrupted.
01272 - Actuator motor for central locking (V70).
35-10 - - - Interrupted.
01274 - Actuator for pressure relief valve (V71).
35-10 - - - Interrupted.
I've noticed that when the car's air conditioning is running, the blower motor briefly speeds up and then slows down again, sometimes repeatedly. I'm not sure if this is normal or if it's related to a problem.
I've already cleared the error codes and reset the climate control to its default settings, but the errors keep reappearing.
Best regards, Dirk.

Hello, I've dug up this old thread about the search function because it's very similar to the problem I'm experiencing.
Regarding the Passat:
The following behavior of the Climatronic system has been observed:
While driving, the amount of air coming out of the vents varies.
It can range from completely off to full power, but the fan motor always runs at the set speed.
The throttle valve (V71) is constantly opening and closing, as viewed from the engine compartment. The pollen filter has been removed and inspected, and in some cases, the valve remains open, and the shaft vibrates (the shaft tries to move).
The error memory indicates the following:
Control unit part number: 3B1 907 044 H
Component and/or version: CLIMATRONIC B5GP 0009
Encoding: 17000
"One error found:"
01274 - Actuator for pressure relief valve (V71).
35-00 - -

35-10 - - - Sporadically
I've already tried performing a basic calibration and actuator diagnosis, but the error keeps recurring.
Does the motor now need to be replaced, or does the potentiometer (or is that a component?) need to be replaced? Are there any other ways to achieve the desired result?
Thank you, Sven. Passat Variant Highline 2,0 TDI 103KW

Hello Sven,
My post is a bit old, but it's still relevant.
I'm still having problems with it.
It seems like the fan is...
Run fast for a bit, then slow down again.
Könnte aber wie du sagst auch die Klappe sein. Wanted.
Let's take a look at that later.

Hello,
There's a very large thread in the Passat forum about these errors. Apparently, there's no definitive solution for these problems. Sometimes, replacing the control panel helps, sometimes replacing the motors helps, and sometimes the motors or the actuated flaps in the blower box are apparently stuck, causing error entries.
Bye.

Hello, the fluctuation in airflow at the nozzles in my system is definitely caused by a malfunctioning static pressure valve.
The flap for recirculation mode is controlled by the same motor, but it doesn't seem to be working properly.
You can easily test whether the pressure relief valve is working or not (I think).
1.
Turn on the ventilation (either "Econ" or "Auto" mode is fine), switch it to recirculation mode, and then turn off the Climatronic.
The result should be that no more air comes out of the nozzles.
2.
Turn the ventilation back on, turn off recirculation mode, turn the ventilation off again. If air is still coming out of the vents even with the climate control system turned off, the pressure relief valve in the POPO unit is likely stuck and not closing properly.
The pressure relief valve and the recirculation flap are located one above the other.
Could someone please test if it's true that when the climate control system (Climatronic) is turned off after previously being set to "recirculation mode," there is no airflow coming from the vents?
I'm going to remove my glove compartment now...

... so, I've now removed the V71 (I'm thinking about applying to Roncalli as a "snake charmer"!).
It's actually relatively simple, but it can be a bit tedious.
I tested it again with the mechanism fully extended. The flaps move freely, and the motor runs back and forth as soon as it receives power. Sometimes, it twitches a few millimeters.
I think he can't find his limit switches anymore.
I took some pictures.

Where else can I get this engine besides from VW?

... so, I've installed the new servo motor now.
Deleted old error codes and performed a new basic setting using VAG COM.
Actuator diagnosis performed, error memory read again, and this time there are no errors present (which was usually the case before).
The system is working perfectly again.
After a few days, I again accessed the error memory of the Climatronic system using the self-diagnosis function. There were errors listed again, and I cleared them multiple times, but new errors kept appearing, although they were always different.
I'm just going to accept that this stuff isn't great quality, but it works, and that's good enough.
