It's probably because the Vag-Com license is not transferable. Strictly speaking, from a licensing perspective, this is not legally okay. To advertise something like that is quite problematic. icon_wink.gif In this case, your acquaintance will probably have to provide you with the necessary support. icon_wink.gif

Hello,

Well, you shouldn't be quite so strict about it. He didn't demand support from the manufacturer (Ross-Tech), he simply asked a normal question.
There's actually nothing against it. For now, it doesn't matter to me where he got the system from, since it seems to be properly licensed.

He can buy a support key.

Regarding your questions:
Yes, the adjusted injection timing is almost certainly related to the timing belt replacement.

Regarding the intake air temperature: I consider a difference of 1-2°C above the outside temperature to be unrealistic. A good intercooler cools the intake air by approximately 20K above the outside temperature when operating at full boost pressure. Be aware that the temperature increase is gradual, so the full boost pressure needs to be applied for several seconds before you'll see any change.

I can't really say anything about the CAN gateway off the top of my head.

Best regards, Rainer.

It's okay icon_wink.gif.

Regarding the CAN gateway, I can't say anything off the top of my head.

Re-encode the CAN gateway using the same encoding (00005) again. It will then automatically search for all 'participants.' If that doesn't improve the situation, try using the 'neutral' encoding of 00000. However, more information would also be helpful, such as the year of manufacture, the part number of the instrument cluster, etc. icon_wink.gif

Did you also choose the right motor?

Which measurement block (MB) and which field are you specifically looking at?

Dauerschrauber wrote:

Basically, check the coding and, if necessary, change it. Even if the coding is correct, try recoding it as described before, as in your case, it's most likely a software error in the instrument cluster.

Hello everyone,

Thank you very much for your help! Just to reassure you about licenses: that is...
a completely legally purchased professional version, because my acquaintance is on vacation and therefore doesn't have time.
He even lent me his equipment so I could take my own measurements. Here are the exact data related to the measurements.
I'll send you the block information later. I'm also planning to take a longer highway trip tomorrow.
to really put the whole system to the test.
Regarding model selection in TDI-Graph: where can I adjust this setting? The only menu I can find is...

According to the manual, only the fuel temperature and injection timing (data points 2 and 9 from the measurement values) are displayed.

Best regards,
Matthias.

When starting TDI-Graph, select the engine variant in the bottom right corner.

Sorry guys, but where exactly is the V6 listed in the TDI graph? icon_razz.gif

Allow Group 4 to switch the "start time" from early to late (I believe this is in the basic settings, and requires the full version). The "early" setting should be between 4 and 0 (2 plus or minus 2).

I can't explain the temperature either; it's significantly higher. The sensor would be located in the lower left corner (from the driver's perspective).
Aktuell:
- Sharan Goal '04 V(R)6 2.8 150 kW, ab 09.08.2007 mit Vialle LPI, MKB: AYL
- G3 VR6 '93 128 kW, MKB: AAA
Bis 07/2007: Passat Variant 3BG '01 2.5TDI 110 kW, MKB: AKN
Bis 03/2004: Audi A3 '00 1.9 TDi 96 kW, (MKB: ASZ?)

It's included in the current software version, but not yet in the older versions.

Hi!

I just checked, and my version is 1.4.1.0, which is the same as the one you mentioned.
The most up-to-date information is available at Ross-Tech. Unfortunately, I don't have a way to input the engine type.
found there icon_sad.gif

Best regards,
Matthias.

Hi!

So,

Gang:

Meßwerte bei Leerlauf (gemittelt):

Meßwertblock 3: 742/min, Luftmasse-Soll 279 mg, Ist 282 mg, Taktrate AGR 35%
Meßwertblock 4: 742/min, ES-Beginn Soll -0,6, Ist +0,2, Taktverh. ES-Ventil 100,2%
Meßwertblock 11: 742/min, Ladedruck Soll 1050mbar, Ist 1010mbar, Taktverh. LD-Ventil 85%

Meßwerte bei Vollgas (gemittelt):
Meßwertblock 3: 3300/min, Luftmasse-Soll 860 mg, Ist 830 mg, Taktrate AGR 95.5%
Meßwertblock 4: 3300/min, ES-Beginn Soll +7,5, Ist +7,6, Taktverh. ES-Ventil 44%
Meßwertblock 11: 3300/min, Ladedruck Soll 2100mbar, Ist 2100mbar, Taktverh. LD-Ventil 54%
