Hello everyone...

I hope I'm posting in the right section...

Can someone tell me what conditions must be met for the Concert II to accept (and play) audio signals at the navigation system's audio input?

The background is as follows:

The speakers on my mobile navigation device are, firstly, undersized, and secondly, they sound bad.
Turn it on.

Hardly thought of, already done icon_idea.gif.

Let's connect it to the radio. What's the navigation input for, anyway?
I got the audio cables, connectors, and crimp connectors from the electronics store, and now I'm ready to get started.
Klinke an Navi, Stecker an Radio... Silent icon_sad.gif

icon_idea.gif Logisch, Codierung falsch... umcodiert... Silent.

Assumption 1.
Output signal too weak?

Assumption 2 (the more likely one).
'Pass-through parameters (signal from navigation to radio -> Hello? I want to talk!) are missing.'

So... now it's your icon_redface.gif icon_razz.gif.

Thank you... Steve.

Hi,

It's very simple. The navigation input has 3 pins: '+' and '-' for the audio, and one for MUTE. Simply connect ground to the MUTE input, and the navigation input will be enabled!

The Concert II menu also includes settings to adjust how much the radio volume is reduced when a signal is present at the MUTE input.

AND BE CAREFUL: Don't permanently connect the power supply, because then the radio will always be on, even if you turn it off using the front panel! This has happened to me before, and when I tried to drive the car again after 2 days, the battery was dead!
