Central locking malfunction

Hello,

I'm having a problem. When I close the doors on my 1999 Passat 3B TDI (regardless of whether I use the key or the remote), all the doors lock, but the driver's door handle still protrudes slightly. However, the door remains locked. I have read out the error codes and I am seeing the following error:
00928 - Locking Unit for Central Locking, Driver's Side (F220)
27-00 - Unlikely Signal

Are these the microswitches, or what else could it be? Does anyone have an idea?
