Hi.

Can anyone tell me how thick (on the inside) the clamping and clip-on pressure hoses are?

There are four different versions of the AGR/deactivation valve.
Golf (left-handed) clamps and clips.
Passat (naturally aspirated) Clips and fasteners.

I need a right-side clip, but I only have right-side clips and left-side clamps.

Can I get a clip hose from the ASZ and cut it to fit my 1Z?

Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation.

Hi Martin,
It might not be helpful to you, but it's good that turbocharger boost hoses aren't...
are sensitive, like women icon_mrgreen.gif.

Best regards,
Rudi

I have the oxygen sensor (ASZ) in my Ibiza. From where exactly do you need the dimensions? It's located right behind the EGR valve. The hose is thicker there than anywhere else.

I replaced all the seals in the intercooler system just yesterday. I would say that hoses with clamps (i.e., simple hose clamps) are preferable. This is the second time these delicate clips have broken off at the connections, and this happened under normal boost pressure.

Here's a question: Why is there a "damper" installed right next to the turbo on the LL (longitudinal) exhaust line? The tube only has a diameter of 2cm there, whereas it's almost 5cm behind the AGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve. I don't really understand why. Also, this damper isn't shown in the AKTE diagrams.

PS: I had to take a special "overall" test just to answer you icon_redface.gif.

Right now, I can't work on the car; I can only tinker around a bit at my desk.
The question refers to the inner diameter near the clip on the suction nozzle.
The EGR flange has a 50mm inlet, while the clip connector appears to be significantly larger.

However, I tried a completely different (graphical) solution tonight.
Turning the parking U-shaped container.

The reason is that the Passat has the vacuum hose on the right side in the direction of airflow. However, on the 1Z engine, there's a short circuit located exactly where the turbocharger exhaust comes out.
The G4 has the can on the left side, where the cylinder head is in the way.

Perhaps I can bypass it by turning the pressure sensor on the golf club upwards.

Then I could also get the Golf AGR (Automatic Guided Rail) system, and I have that one in a clamping version.

Perhaps this will help: I had to fit a 58mm gasket onto the last connecting piece (which is inserted into the EGR valve - the inner diameter of the EGR valve is then also about 58mm). The hose would then only need to be a few millimeters smaller.

I will measure it again tomorrow if I have the opportunity. The question is, how do the Seat ASZ and the VW ASZ differ in their peripherals? icon_confused.gif

Hi, I was finally able to measure the inner diameter of the hose that goes into the EGR valve, and it measures 50mm internally (without guarantee, as it was only measured with a cheap caliper).

Here's another picture for illustration:

Thank you for the picture.

So, if I cut the hose, will the inner diameter be 50mm?

"Thank you."

Unfortunately, I can't tell you that; I don't want to cut it to measure it icon_lol.gif. The 50mm measurement is taken at the front of the muzzle (on the metal).

I just checked again, and the hose seems to have the same diameter inside as it does at the front.
Where the end piece is welded or galvanized, the curvature already begins, so it's not a good place to attach anything. At the other end, you might have at most 1 cm of space.

Have you checked with companies like Samco to see if they have a better hose available?

Hello.

I was able to repair my cracked hose connection using a hose with an inner diameter of 50mm.

Hi euwing,

Thanks for the number you sent, but it won't be useful to me until I know what kind of engine you have.

Based on your avatar, it appears to be a Volkswagen Golf Mk3, specifically with engine codes like AHU, ALE, or AFN.

Hello.

Yes, that refers to the ALE (presumably a specific part or system) and the diameter applies to the long hose connecting to the two parallel plastic tubes with the pressure sensor and temperature sensor.
