Problems with gears 4 and 5.

My Golf IV AHF 110PS, 93000km, has recently been experiencing acceleration problems in 4th and 5th gear, starting from a speed of 3400 rpm. When full throttle is applied, the power is automatically briefly reduced for about 1 second, and then the car accelerates again. In 5th gear, it consistently loses power, making it very difficult to reach the maximum speed.
Is it possible that the LMM is defective, as has been often heard?

[Translating...]Ja, das hört sich nach LMM an. Da er relativ teuer ist (ca. 280€) würde ich ihn aber nicht auf Verdacht tauschen.
Vielleicht kennst du jemanden, der dir seinen LMM für eine Testfahrt leiht.
So habe ich es gemacht.

Bei Deiner Werkstatt könntest Du auch Erfolg haben, die machen das oft, probehalber einen anderen LMM zu testen.
