I am driving the Sierra with a 55kw TD engine, which unfortunately cannot function without
The LLK has been installed. Now I have obtained the LLK from the TD engine, which is used in the Mondeo from model year 93 (i.e., not the TDCI). According to a Ford employee, this is likely the same engine, but with 75kw.
Does anyone know anything about the old Ford TD engine? Alternatively, can someone tell me if the LLK also fits in the Sierra?
The hose between the intake channel and the turbocharger is very, very narrow.
I had already hired a tuner to do some work, but he was completely incompetent. The only thing he could do was order spoilers icon_neutral.gif

I am grateful for any tip that can help me.

Best regards, Tesa

Hello,

Please visit the website www.ford-escort.de. There are always a few very knowledgeable Ford Diesel enthusiasts in the forum.
The Escort TD engine is the same as in the Sierra/Mondeo.

By the way, the Escort/Mondeo TD has 66 kW/90 PS.

Greetings

Rudi

Hi,
Okay, I still tune Ford TD engines.
So, from the 55kW/75hp-152Nm engine in the Serra, you can easily get around 90hp-175Nm, which makes it a real powerhouse. The engines in the Mondeo and the Escort have 90hp-180Nm, but there are a lot of differences compared to the Serra. For example, the throttle, boost pressure, intercooler, mass airflow sensor, etc. All of this results in around 110hp and about 205Nm.

To get the Sierra up to around 90 hp - 175 Nm, you'll need to install an intercooler, but you'll have a lot of problems. If you want to install the intercooler before, I always do it in the engine bay so that the middle air intake of the intercooler is cooled. The air control system must be redesigned, and the pump must undergo new optimization.

I have a few tuning parts for the Sierra, along with an installation manual, sitting in my storage. If you're interested, you can send me an email.
