hello,
In a 2004 Audi A3 8P, both fans continue to run even after the engine is turned off, even after more than twenty minutes, despite the coolant temperature being only around 30 degrees Celsius.
Unfortunately, I don't have the SLP (Service Logbook/Repair Record) for this vehicle (engine code: BKD). Can anyone help me with this, or has anyone experienced a similar issue before?
"Thank you."
PS: I forgot to mention: The error logs are clear, and there are no fan problems in the memory.

Since the control unit is located inside the fan, and the problems associated with it are well-known,
Okay, let me put it this way... you're going to need new fans soon, or you'll be running into problems.
...to leave a dead battery somewhere...
As a solution, there were two complete sets specifically provided to be installed in that situation.
1K0 998 455 (frame 680x420) or 1K0 998 455 A (frame 680x460).
Consisting of 2 new fans and a modified fan frame...
Costs are around 240 euros per set.
So, if it hasn't been converted yet, then get acquainted with something like this.

Thank you for the response.
Unfortunately, you were right - it was the main fan, or rather, the control unit.
However, I have another question: when are the fans turned on?
Thank you for the additional responses.
Best regards, Jürgen.
