Hello everyone,

I have the following error.
T4 Bus 2.5L TDI (ACV)

Error code: 16885.
Vehicle speed signal: implausible signal.

Possible causes.
No signal from the speed sensor (G22).

The speedometer isn't working, but the tachometer and everything else is fine.

what should I watch, where should I start?? icon_question.gif

Thank you for the help in advance.

Look at the back of the gearbox from below, meaning from back to front.
Then you should see one sensor on the right and one on the left of the transmission. icon_wink.gif Critters often get into them and chew on the wires.

Okay, I'll take a look.

Okay, I forgot to mention that it's a T4 with a 2.5L TDI engine (ACV).

Is that exactly the same?

Oops... I was basing my assumptions on the Passat V6 TDI.

If I understand correctly, the T4 transmission has two sensors, one on the side and one on top... it must be the one on top. (Part number: 095 927 321c?)

It's a bit surprising, though, that the DZM is still working.

The sensor with the number 095 927 321 C is a speed sensor.

I'll take a look and see if the cable is disconnected.

Do you have any other ideas about what it could be?

Thank you for the helpful tip.
