Hello.
After a complete failure of the window regulator mechanism, I replaced it. The motor was reused, and a new guide rail system was installed in the door. Unfortunately, I'm still experiencing a problem:
The window occasionally triggers the anti-pinch mechanism when closing, so it goes up and stops at various points before moving down again.
In my opinion, I didn't align the window correctly, and the increased resistance when closing it is causing this reaction. However, even after repeatedly adjusting the window position (following the 'how-to' guide), it didn't improve.
Does anyone have a tip?
I also noticed that the guide wire is very tightly stretched on one of the guide rails. Is this also the normal condition?
What kind of adhesive can be used to reattach the sealing strip to the door frame?
I would be very grateful for helpful answers.

Due to the malfunction. Did you properly initialize the window lifters? Disconnect the power, then fully raise/lower the window while holding the button. If it's really the resistor, you might check the door frame; it could be slightly bent, which is why the window is difficult to operate. Otherwise, as far as I know, you can only adjust the height at the front and rear to prevent the window from jamming. Aktuell:

Hello.
and thank you for the first response.
No. I thought the pairing process was done by fully raising and lowering the window with the window switch held down continuously. But how is it actually done correctly?
The window position is determined by the two clamping connections at the front and rear. According to the instructions, you should close the window approximately 3/5 of the way and then slide the glass until it touches the B-pillar. Then, tighten the screws to 10 Nm.
Regarding the tension of the cable in the guide: It is particularly tight when the window is raised.

Okay, as far as I know, the pairing process usually involves something like this: after lowering the window (by holding the button down), you release the button and then press the "open" button again for 1-2 seconds.
Press and hold. Then release briefly, and then press and hold "close" for another 2 seconds.
I'm not sure if that applies to the G3, but it does apply to newer models.

1) That should be enough; it works for mine too.
2) Yes, so that didn't help. Try moving the glass pane manually within the frame. The window frame isn't very sturdy; it might have slightly deformed. Please check it manually as I said.
3) That's because your disc is spinning so slowly... Now we need to find the cause. Aktuell:

Hello.
The position of the window pane in the guide is now correctly adjusted. The problem wasn't the guide itself, but that the glass had been inserted flush with the two holders. After some online research, it turns out that slightly tilting the glass forward (so that it's positioned slightly higher in the rear guide) reduces the resistance when closing. After a test drive at a higher speed, there are also no increased wind noises.
Now, all that's left is to install the trim, and I'm still wondering what's the best sealant to use for the door panel. This is already the newer, textured foam version. The remaining adhesive on the door won't be enough for a secure attachment, so a new adhesive bond is needed. Is it true that the dealer has suitable double-sided tape? Are there any alternative solutions to this problem?
Thank you for everything so far...

Hello,
For fastening, I have previously used:
a) Double-sided foam tape for attaching mirror elements to tiles. It's from tesa, sticks really well, and you can find it at well-stocked hardware stores.
b) Some kind of Sikaflex goo. It sticks, it seals, but it's a real mess.
Greetings.
Andy.
