Hello!

Can someone please provide me with information about whether the AVF TDI PD (Passat 3BG, year 2002) also has a fuel return valve (ball valve)? The first AVF, up to chassis number: xyz, with a different fuel filter and an additional fuel-water cooler, has one located next to the fuel filter. The updated AVF, from 2002 onwards, has a modified fuel filter without an external fuel cooler, but unfortunately, it no longer has this return valve, at least not in that location. My question is: where is this return valve? I can't believe that the updated AVF no longer has this return valve icon_rolleyes.gif. Isn't it supposed to prevent fuel from flowing back into the tank when the engine is not running?

Thank you.

Greetings.

Hello, it looks like it's located directly in the supply line to the engine. Please take a close look at the hose to see if it's thicker anywhere.
In the AKTE system, I can't find a check valve as a spare part. icon_biggrin.gif Or rather, there's only a valve for the old filter with the thick radiator on top. } The new one probably has it welded into the hose or something. }

Hi, that's exactly my problem icon_exclaim.gif. Where the old one was, there isn't anything now, and nothing is visible in the catalog icon_rolleyes.gif.
I once heard from someone that it is supposed to be located in the tank, near the pre-pump icon_exclaim.gif icon_question.gif. Whether THAT is true icon_rolleyes.gif.

Greetings.
