Volkswagen Golf IV, 90 HP TDI, 2002, gas stuck/not working

Hello everyone,

I'm new here and I have a Volkswagen Golf 4 with a silly problem that isn't showing up anywhere in the diagnostics.

When I release the accelerator pedal in this vehicle, the engine still receives fuel and continues to push forward. This problem occurs across all RPM ranges. What could be causing this?

What engine (model code) are we talking about?
WHAT happened before or is happening now that has led to the current situation?!
Switch or circuit breaker?
If the VAT law has been changed: Incorrect coding .

If the circuit is active: Check the relevant component (Bauteil) in the vehicle's electrical system (MStG) for the clutch pedal switch.

When decelerating from higher RPMs, the fuel supply should be reduced to approximately zero by the idle speed.

Ansonsten verbrennt er evt. Engine oil...

Okay, I've checked everything again. Yes, it's an ALH engine, and the Golf has 118,000 kilometers on it.

'When I turn off the engine in the log, everything resets to zero, but the car still keeps moving. We drove through the mountain passes because of the border controls from Croatia, and it was really difficult driving there. If the car were consuming oil, there would be at least a huge cloud of smoke, and it would also need oil – which it hasn't done in 2000 km.'

Please describe what you mean by "schiebt weiter" in more detail.
Does the final surge before releasing the accelerator remain unchanged, or is it just a very slight "continued push," or does that "continued push" only last for about 1-2 seconds before it stops?

As I mentioned before: First, check the clutch switch in the main control unit (ECU) to ensure it's being properly recognized.

Can I check the clutch switch? I haven't read anything about it yet. The Golf was working fine on Sunday evening, but since Monday, it's been having problems. It sputters whenever I take my foot off the gas, sometimes immediately, and other times after 1-2 seconds.

The voltage at the RSW sensor appears quite high both in idle and thrust modes. Has the MSW been adjusted?
Please post the values for monitoring control module (MCM) #1 when the engine is idling, and MCM #19 with the ignition on.

Please don't forget the measurement blocks mentioned by Herbert.
What is the fuel injection quantity in measurement block 1 when the engine is at operating temperature and idling?

It's not very helpful to combine recordings for the "ignition on" state and the "idle" state, or if you don't specify which state was being measured in other recordings. Was everything recorded while the engine was idling?
So, again:
- MWB 19 only activates when the ignition is on; in addition, MWB 1.
- MWB 1 at idle, along with accelerator pedal position, and clutch switch;
