Hello fellow diesel enthusiasts,
I'm considering whether or not to buy a SEAT Leon FR TDI.
Currently, I drive an Audi A3.
The engine, transmission, all-wheel drive, platform, and interior are all from the Volkswagen Group (VAG).
I'm interested in knowing if anyone has experience with the build quality of SEAT cars.
Or any other comments or feedback...
also auch über Seat dealerships.
Thank you very much for your opinions!
Sure, also feel free to contact me via email.
[email protected]
Thank you in advance.
Tobias.

Hi!
It's certainly well-intentioned to provide your email address. However, a forum was specifically created for this purpose so that others can benefit from the information here. It would be appreciated if you could post your responses directly in the forum.

Hi,
I bought a Leon Sport TDI with 110 horsepower in February.
Das ganze noch als Import (10.000DM gespart zur dt. List)
and also had a problem at the beginning. However, this was resolved by...
resolved without any complaints at a Seat dealership.
SEAT dealers are often former Volkswagen Group (VAG) partners and possess specialized knowledge.
what you're talking about (at least often!). The Leon, in terms of its interior, is like a 3-year-old Audi A3 – so you know what to expect.
basically what you get!
'Quality through experience.'
I can only advise you: Just do it!!!
The TopSport with its 150 TDI horsepower is an awesome machine!
Have fun!
Olli.

Hello Olli,
Thank you for your reply. What problem did you have?
How many kilometers have you driven?
2WD or 4WD?

Hello,
"I'm quite satisfied with the quality of my Ibiza, even though a few things have broken down in the 13 months I've owned it (e.g., the MFA, coolant level sensor, clutch making noise, something seems to be stuck on the brake pad guides, and now the turn signal switch - see today's post)."
And the handling of re-imported items isn't very customer-friendly, but considering the savings of 10,000 Deutschmarks, it's worth it.
Otherwise, as I mentioned before, everything is Volkswagen, even though it rattles a bit more (I'll fix that when it gets warmer).
Best regards,

Hi.
Our ALH Ibiza (not an imported vehicle) has not had any problems since it was first registered in April 2001. Gruß Ulf

Hello.
I'm driving a Leon Cupra TDI with 150 horsepower. Before this, I also had an Audi A3 TDI with 90 horsepower. The quality is the same. The engine is simply brilliant. I can only recommend it, just do it.

Hello.
What do you think about a vehicle database? Something similar to the error database, but where everyone could share their personal opinions and experiences with the specific vehicle they own.
I was thinking of answers that are as short as the ones in this thread.
And when you're about to buy a new or used car, you'll already have gathered several opinions from the other forum members.
But I haven't really thought about it yet... it was just an idea.
Best regards, Ernst.

Hi,
@Ernst S.:
I think it's a very wise idea.
Perhaps include a brief description of overall satisfaction, followed by bullet points outlining any major defects or parts that need to be replaced.
Then, anyone interested can also find out what are the 'typical' defects (of a mass airflow sensor).
This would lead to an increasing number of information collections within the forum.
I also thought the idea of collecting information about GOOD workshops was a good one.
Whether this is complete or not, there's no need to claim that it is, right?

@Tobias
My Leon only has 2WD - and it's front-wheel drive! *grin*
But it's a great car.
Initially, there was a minor defect in the oil line leading to the turbocharger, and...
It sprayed a little oil - it was repaired without any complaints.
Dann hat meine Klimaanlage keine gute Leistung gebracht. Here.
mußte ich zu einem anderen Händler fahren. DHe then...
The coolant was replaced, and the amount was also checked during the process.
As with many vehicles from the Volkswagen Group, cost-cutting measures were implemented here as well – a reduction of 100 grams.
not enough filling.
The technician then added a bit more filling to it (+50g - which is within the acceptable range).
(VW's tolerance) and now it's working GREAT!!!
OF COURSE - WARRANTY INFORMATION.
Okay, what am I trying to say?
If a SEAT workshop messes up, go to the next one.
If you decide to import a vehicle, you should...
Register with SEAT as soon as possible – only then are you entitled to warranty benefits!!!
(WHY???? - No one could tell me!)
Then just add a little bit of tuning, and the car will really 'run.'
CU
Olli.
