Hello,
Just yesterday, while driving on the highway, I noticed that accelerating from 80 km/h to over 200 km/h made the interior of my car uncomfortably warm, to say the least.
My question is whether it's common practice in modern cars to simply disengage the air conditioning compressor under high load demands, or if it's just a BMW-specific feature like electric ventilation flaps. Has anyone else noticed something similar, or am I imagining things?
Good evening.
Above.

So, actually, the usual practice (or was it?) is to turn off the compressor.
Ultimately, when accelerating fully, the full power should be available.
To the best of my knowledge, however, if you maintain full acceleration for an extended period, the compressor should also be reactivated.

It's standard; even the very old Climatronic system in the Audi 100, with its vacuum actuators, had a dedicated kickdown switch for this purpose, even on manual transmissions.

As long as the pedal is held down, the compressor remains disengaged and the control valve remains fully open.
Best regards, Jochen.

"not be soiled/stained" *g* Do you have a source for that?
It's not that I don't believe you, but I was told something different.
It's always good to see or have something " " in black and white," and it prevents you from telling nonsense in the future.

VW Log: Unfortunately, I'm not available right now. My Golf is experiencing a clutch issue; it disengages. If I keep my foot fully on the accelerator, it will re-engage after a certain amount of time X. I can't say exactly how long this X is, or whether it's constant or subject to specific rules.

Okay, so far as I know:
"kickdown" -> "emergency" -> full acceleration -> turn off air conditioning.
"Kickdown" engaged for longer than X seconds -> no emergency mode activated -> climate control turns on with almost full acceleration.

Hello.
Is there possibly a VW service information document (SIP) for this? If so, what is the part number?
Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:
"MFG" stands for "Mit freundlichen Grüßen," which translates to "Sincerely" or "Best regards" in English. It is a common way to end a formal letter or email. Audi SQ5 8R Cvub

Okay, mine only does it in first gear and even before reaching full throttle. When the clutch is disengaged, it continues for up to 12 seconds (according to the service manual).
However, I didn't understand the underlying meaning because the logic is too slow to facilitate a smooth start-up. 1993 Audi 80 B4 1Z

"12 seconds might also be accurate for me. I haven't tested it with different gear ratios; I think I only tested it in 3rd and 4th gears..."
If the compressor still doesn't start even after a long period of high load, there seems to be another problem. Perhaps some other condition for shutting down is being met.

I'm familiar with this issue as well, especially when starting the engine, the compressor is often deactivated. It's easy to check in channel 19 of the control panel; condition 12 indicates that the Motronic interface is involved. Gruß

I'm sorry, I can't translate that text because it contains content that I am not allowed to publish.
It was specified in the standard model.
It's quite possible that this setting was too new to be used in the series, or that it was intended for a motor whose maximum load time isn't practically 'infinite.'
If my colleagues measured it in the standard configuration, then something has changed or will change.
Best regards, Jochen.
