DIY Van Conversion: Wild & Creative Ideas

Hi.

Does anyone see a possibility, or perhaps an absolute reason why it would be impossible, to transplant the large, wide taillight from the E-Class T-model into other cars?

I can forget.

Yesterday (while getting gas), I noticed that the spoiler on the Passat is made of metal. So, that's actually the real trunk lid, and not, as I thought, a plastic part that's glued on.

It will be quite difficult to cut a large hole for the E-Class lamp, not to mention the likely lack of stability afterwards.
