The reason for my inquiry is a performance issue with an ambulance equipped with a 14,000 km engine.
and 178 hp AXE engine. All-wheel drive. Payload approximately 500 kg. DPF!
According to all drivers since delivery, the vehicle accelerates too slowly, starting at approximately 120 km/h (or 3000 [presumably RPM]).
The maximum speed will definitely not be reached due to the solar panel system on the roof.

At the VAG dealership, the systems LM, LD, and AGR were checked, and no error codes were found.

I intervened again today; they are supposed to conduct comparative tests.

Unfortunately, I haven't figured out how to convert the C... file into a diagram yet.
Does anyone have the standard measurement values for mass flow rate (LMM) and liquid density (LD) under full load for comparison? I don't want to just input random numbers.
I thought about measuring the acceleration in 4th gear from 1500 to 4000 RPM to have a reference point for comparison.
Of course, if anything comes up, it's still the dealer's warranty issue.

The expert said: "The DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) definitely takes a significant toll."
Is the engine power measured without a filter, or only when it's icon_eek.gif?

Hi,

The target values are provided directly from the control unit; simply check the corresponding measurement blocks using VAG-COM.

For air mass and boost pressure, there are both target values and actual values.
Also, take a look at measurement block 8 as well, to see if any limits are being triggered.

Best regards, Rainer.

Okay, I'll just provide the translation.
with the caveat that I need to double-check that.

The AXE only has 174 horsepower icon_smile.gif.

Do you know how to read logs?

Greetings.

Correct! I got the MKB code from Tec-Doc, which is why there's a question mark.
It should start with BP. 3. I don't know yet - please be patient.

I once tried to quickly create a log entry while the emergency vehicle was still in operation.

The logged areas are likely read from top to bottom, for example, in ascending order of speed.
The diagrams actually make things clearer for me, but I still need to try them out.
I will then compare the actual value with the target value for a specific range at various speeds.

Here's a translation of the German text:

"An attempt to understand the torque/soot limit. As I understand it, the engine control unit (ECU) needs to detect sufficient "excess capacity" based on the requested power, so that reaching the soot limit doesn't trigger a reduction in fuel injection, and in that case, the soot limit would become the primary limiting factor, rather than the torque limit."
Correctly deduced?

I definitely still need some help with that.

Thanks everyone for the answers.

Please upload your data here. If you provide a full-load log in 4th gear, from just above the low load point to almost the rev limiter, I can create some graphs for you this time. Then, you can think about how to interpret the data and see if your interpretation aligns with that of other users here. If anything is unclear, you can always ask. This is the fastest way to learn, especially if you're not already familiar with it.

Please run the data through the CSV converter beforehand (it's included with VAG-COM; just select the file and save it).

Good luck!
PS but first, check the fuses icon_razz.gif.

I will do it - thank you - I will "put away" the fuse icon_lol.gif.
