Document: Passat, Model Year 2000, Window Seal is Raised/Not Seating Properly (Solution)

The outer window seals on the front and rear doors are raised in the middle area.


Affected vehicle identification numbers:
Until 06/2001, 3B2E085000.
Until 06/2001, 3B2P070000.


Cause:
Insufficient fixation.


Solution:
To remedy the issue, install a retaining clip (part number: 3B0 837 073 A) onto the door flange of the outer window seal.
Front door: 200 mm from the front window frame.
Rear door: 350 mm from the front window guide.
