HI.

What exactly is the "Assistenzfahrlicht" (assistance driving light) in VW vehicles?

My brother-in-law has a Passat with all sorts of lighting features (coming-home lights, leaving-home lights, light sensor, etc.).
Now he also has a G5, but without all that extra stuff.

He's now annoyed that he always has to manually turn the lights on and off in the car. He would prefer the switch to be permanently in the "ON" position, so the car would automatically turn the lights on and off (he doesn't need a light sensor).

I once programmed a "Sweden light" feature, but the speedometer remains dark – you still have to turn the switch to make it work.

Is retrofitting a 4-position headlight switch sufficient?

I don't know what the f*ck it was.

Hi.

Does the G5 light switch still have a TFL pin? If so, just plug the light into it.
