Hi,
As I mentioned earlier, I wanted to increase the performance of my 1Z Passat Variant. I've now found a way to do that.
I have a chip and I did a stress test on it before.
1: with a chip.
2000 RPM - 90 km/h (the distance wasn't long enough, so the numbers are a bit strange) in 3rd gear.
-5.39 seconds.
-4.68 sec. chip + 10 cents (1150 Ohm), smoke behavior still relatively acceptable.
-4.53 sec. chip + 950 Ohm, smoke behavior seems too strong in my opinion.
-5.03 seconds. Chip with 700 Ohm resistor, smoke behavior like an old steam locomotive.
And here, according to Ulf's test.
2000 RPM - 4000 RPM
-7.1 second chip.
-6.6 seconds. chip + 10 cents, 1150 Ohms.
I then installed a switch so I can turn it on when needed. I also installed the 1150 Ohm resistor.
The maximum speed hasn't changed, but the car now accelerates better.
Purely in terms of calculations, I have approximately 8% more performance, if that's correct?
So, it was about 120 horsepower before, and now it's about 128 horsepower. Could that be the reason?

Bitte gib mir den deutschen Text, den du übersetzt haben möchtest.

Hi Tim,
Only based on the transit times does the relative order of magnitude make sense.
So, if it was previously 120 horsepower, then with the additional 10 degrees, approximately 128 horsepower. Gruß Ulf

Hi Ulf,
Can you also tell me something about the increase in torque, like how much the torque might have increased?

Hi.
Generally speaking, with 10c tuning, you can expect a roughly uniform percentage increase in both power and torque.
So, add about 7% to the chipped torque value; that should be roughly accurate. Gruß Ulf
