Remote Control Installation Guide for VW Golf 3 m320

Hi,

Santa Claus has finally granted my long-awaited wish and placed a remote control under the Christmas tree.
However, this only includes a universal wiring harness and a very general installation guide.
Before I start randomly searching for the cables with a voltmeter, I wanted to ask if anyone has installed M320s in a Golf 3 (manufactured in '97, 2-door) and might have a vehicle-specific installation guide available or can give me some helpful tips.
