Has anyone ever replaced the timing belt on the AFB engine themselves?

Does one also manage without the special tool or can one help oneself in another way?

For the 4-cylinder TDI, you can find the diagram of the fuel pump here. Does anyone have the diagram for the AFB V6?

So, zunächst einmal, ich habe bisher nicht den Mut gehabt, beim AFB die Riemen zu wechseln. The effort seems considerable...
A diagram similar to the one in the 1Z doesn't seem to exist, at least not to my knowledge. However, I have a guide for checking the dynamic injection timing. If you wish, I can send them to you by email!

Audi specifies the following special tool:

Special Order Part T40011
Countermeasure 3036
3242 Fixing Screw
Marking tool 3359
Camshaft retainers 3458

Without proper guidance, I wouldn't dare to do that.

Fix Screw 3242: Could someone possibly manufacture this on my lathe for a small fee, if they have the exact dimensions? Ideally, a technical drawing with the exact dimensions would be best. For increased interest, please email: jochen.nausch@t-online.de
