Polo MJ 2001.
Electric window not working.
Affected vehicle identification numbers:
Up to reference number 6NY Y 530 654.
Cause:
The window regulator motor exerts excessive torque on the glass when it's in the end position, causing the glass to become misaligned and the motor to lock up.
Solution:
Replacing the window regulator motor.
If the window pane is stuck in the upper position, please follow these instructions:
Remove the door panel and the door soundproofing film. Disassemble the window regulator. If the window glass is stuck and you cannot access the screws that secure the glass, proceed as follows:
Remove all the screws from the window regulator. Now, move the window regulator rail located on the A-pillar into the recess at the bottom of the door. You can then detach the window regulator motor from its bracket through an opening in the door. Next, disconnect the window regulator motor from the window mechanism. Be sure to prevent the cable drum of the window mechanism from falling out of its bracket. This will release the window regulator system, allowing you to slide the window to the desired position to release the window clamp. Remove the window mechanism. Tschüss
