Passat: AHK Coding & AFS Issues

habe einen Passat Variant Jahreswagen bei einem VW Händler gekauft und direkt eine abnhmbare AHK von Westfalia nachrüsten lassen. Jetzt hatte ich eine Fehlermeldung bzügl. des Kurvenlichts (AFS ohne Funktion) in der MFA und bin zu einem VW Händler bei mir vor Ort gefahren. Dieser hat den Fehlerspeicher ausgelesen und es waren 6 oder 7 Fehler in verschiedenen Steuergeräten gespeichert (PDC, elek. Heckklappe, Kombiinstrument, etc.) und zwar die meisten mit dem Datum an dem die AHK installiert wurde. Weiterhin war zwar die Anhängevorrichtung im VAG Tester aufgeführt, allerdings konnte da nichts ausgewählt oder ausgelesen werden. (nicht vorhanden oder so etwas in der Art stand da) Der VW Mitarbeiter meinte deshalb, die AHK wär nicht codiert worden und das müsste nachgeholt werden. Ich hab da aber meine Zweifel da der Mitarbeiter nicht gerade kompetent erschien und es war auch schon kurz nach 16h. Hat er nun Recht oder ist die nachgerüstete AHK nur nicht diagnosefähig? Ist bei der Montage versäumt worden die Batterie abzuklemmen und deshalb die ganzen Fehler oder haben die vergessen diese einfach zu löschen? ZuThe AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System) error log contained a sporadic motor fault for headlight leveling, indicating a short circuit to ground.

Yes, he did!

"Newer vehicles have a CAN Bus module (essentially a separate control unit) for controlling the trailer hitch. This module needs to be registered with the vehicle's electronics for it to function correctly. If the trailer hitch wiring is connected to the taillights (as was done in the past), it will cause error messages in the vehicle's onboard computer system."

It's not that simple. In order to properly program the trailer hitch control module, it should be installed before the programming process. Since programming without a connected battery is not possible, corresponding error codes are stored. I suspect that these errors were not properly cleared. It's also possible that the errors are unrelated to the installation of the trailer hitch.

I would like to print out the error codes, clear the error memory, and see what happens.

My personal experience at 3C:

When you disconnect the battery to work on something and then reconnect it, the system initially gets flooded with errors.
