Hi everyone!

I have a quick question for all the experts here.

Is it still possible to adjust the EGR rate on a 3.0 TDI engine with the ASB engine code and 171 kW of power? And if so, is it advisable to do this? Or does adjusting the EGR rate on this engine more likely lead to problems and error messages than positive results?

I didn't want to just try something randomly without hearing your opinions first.

Thank you very much.

Best regards, Tobi.

Adapting without a valid login is, to my knowledge, not possible. I don't know of any suitable logins. And simply deactivating it mechanically results in an error message icon_wink.gif. However, adapting directly within the dataset is possible. icon_wink.gif

Thank you for your reply, mulle!

The question remains whether this is still relevant for the engine in question, meaning: does it still exhibit a tendency to form oil sludge like with PD engines, or is it more of an issue here?
What do you think?
Would it have a more positive or negative impact on the overall emissions situation, especially with regard to the diesel particulate filter (DPF)?

Best regards, Tobi.

The 3.0 TDI engines do not have problems with the oil pump!
At least I know enough vehicles that have clearly exceeded 100,000 kilometers.
They all have no problems with the EGR system.
