Document A2 8Z0 MJ 2003, broken rear spoiler (Solution)

The rear spoiler on the rear window can detach under extreme stress in a car wash and damage the rear window.

Cause.
The adhesive bond between the rear spoiler and the rear window may not be sufficient under extreme stress conditions in a car wash (where the vehicle is stationary while brushes move from front to back). This could cause the spoiler to detach and damage the rear window.

Solution:
Partial replacement.
