T5 rear shell:
Is there a way to close the holes of the PDC (Pressure Distribution Chamber) with the plugs from the old system without PDC, or are they glued/welded in and will they break when removed?
I have one that was boosted with PDC, but the other model wasn't. icon_redface.gif

The ultrasonic sensors are usually generic devices that are mounted in vehicle-specific brackets. I would buy a cheap parking sensor kit and retrofit it myself. This is certainly also a good idea for a T5. Working systems (with 3 or 4 sensors) cost less than 50 EUR.

Usually, the holes are cut out, the consoles are glued on from the back, and the sensors are clipped in. I had a Bosch system (an aftermarket solution) in my Suzuki Ignis that a friend bought from a scrapped car (a Volvo S70). Since it worked and no one wanted it, it ended up in the Suzuki. It fetched 100 EUR when I sold the car. icon_rolleyes.gif

Okay, yes, if the hole diameter is correct, I'll measure it.

I discovered that there aren't any lids at all.
My retrofit sensors are slightly smaller, so I need to compensate for a difference of 1.2 mm!
The OE sensor costs over €60 (x4!).

*Cough* Are there perhaps any retrofit sensors available that are larger?

If necessary, measure the openings and initially purchase suitable plastic caps ("blind plugs"). It may not look aesthetically pleasing, but it still leaves the option to retrofit a system from the manufacturer's accessory catalog if one becomes available at a reasonable price in the future.

"I already have and tried the PDC accessory box, I'm using that. The sensor has a rim that covers more area. A strip of tinplate (aluminum?) placed in between will provide enough clamping force."
