VCDS TDI Timing: No 1Z Support

Hello everyone,

Could it be that in the new VCDS version (by Rainer), when selecting "TDI Timing," only the engine variants "AGR, AHF, ALH, ASV" are available? The dropdown menu only shows this one option. I'm missing the older 1Z variants – specifically, the ones for my 1Z.

I have readings of "t Diesel = 149" and "SB = 23" - according to the graph, this is too late (significantly below the lower line). Now I'm not sure if this is due to the wrong engine variant and whether these values are acceptable for the 1Z engine, or if I actually need to make some changes.

We have reorganized the engine variants to make them more organized overall and to avoid redundant entries.

How can I tell which version of the data is installed, and where can I download a corresponding file? Where should I put this file? I downloaded the complete installation from Rainer's shop a few weeks ago.

When I click on the dropdown menu – or the arrow next to it – nothing happens; no engine options appear.

I have the version dated 20080612 – if I understand Uwe correctly, it's not the most recent one.

I just uninstalled, downloaded a fresh copy, and installed it... and at least the data version is now 20080626. Since I'm currently on vacation in Austria, I won't be able to test this until my return trip (on Saturday), and I'll let you know then. It seems like that was the cause of the problem.
