Engine control unit problem, 1.9 TDI, 1Z engine

Hello!
My problem is the following.
I have a Passat TDI from 1995 with the 1Z engine, and the engine control unit (ECU) is definitely faulty; I can't even read any data from it.

I'm urgently looking for a new one, but unfortunately, I haven't found it yet; it seems to be a rare model!
Bosch 0 281 001 411/412
VW number 028 906 021 DD
"Could other options also be suitable?"

I've already found some, but the last letters of the VW number don't match; instead of DD, they are AF, B, or C, etc..
Can someone tell me if any of these might work?
"Or does anyone perhaps have a table where I can compare them, or even a tool for me?"

What is the situation with the immobilizer system for this vehicle?
I don't have a PIN or anything similar for this vehicle!
